BookMind doesn't collect your data. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone. There's no account, no cloud sync, no tracking.
All your books, characters, events, themes, notes, reading sessions — all of it lives in a local database on your phone. I don't have access to any of it, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.
The only time BookMind talks to the internet is when you scan a barcode or fetch a book cover. Here's what happens:
That's it. No personal info is sent along with those requests. And once your books are added, the app works completely offline.
The app asks for camera access so you can scan barcodes and snap photos of book covers. Those photos stay on your device — they're never uploaded anywhere.
When you export your data, it creates a file that you save wherever you want. I never see that file or have any access to it.
If you tap "Contact Me" in the app settings, it just opens your email app with a draft.
